Join us in working together for a future where all women and girls have the freedom and ability to lead healthy lives, make their own informed decisions about using contraception and having children, and participate as equals in society and its development.

Expanding on the successes and lessons from the last nine years, FP2030 brings forward our greatest strengths, while embracing new ways of working and organizing our efforts to reflect a core commitment to equitable and rights-based approaches, country leadership, inclusion, transparency, and mutual accountability.

The severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on family planning services has created an especially urgent need for bold, new family planning commitments to ensure that women and girls have access to the high-quality reproductive health services they need and deserve.

Each FP2030 commitment maker has pledged to take specific actions to increase use of voluntary, rights-based contraception worldwide. View the current list of FP2030 commitment makers.

As we celebrate and build on the accomplishments of past commitments, we welcome you to recommit—or commit for the first time—to advancing family planning in your country, your community, or your workplace.

By making a new or renewed FP2030 commitment, you will contribute to and benefit from the largest and most active community of practice on rights-based family planning in the world.

How to Use This Guide

Some country partners are clear on their 2030 objectives and ready to make their next commitment. Others have newer country partnerships or have asked for in-depth guidance on the steps they may want to consider that help build stakeholder relationships through the commitment process. We ask that all commitment makers include rights-based approaches and accountability mechanisms or agreements, but otherwise, use this toolkit as it is helpful to you and your partners. Not all partners will need to consider each step outlined below. They are here for your consideration to use as you deem necessary.
